The official religion is Islam and their legal system is heavily based on the Islamic Sharia Law. Festivals and events celebrated in this country include Eid-al-Fitr, Eid-al-Adha, Unification of the Kingdom Day, Janadriyah National Festival, and the Riyadh Spring Festival.
This nation is full of many legendary tourist attractions including: The Ruins of Al Ula, which display the remains of ancient kingdoms, the Kingdom Centre Tower, a 41 story skyscraper, Al Masjid an Nabawi, a mosque built by the Islamic prophet Muhammed, and the Masjid-al-Haram, the mosque that surrounds the Kaaba in Mecca. Every year, millions of Muslims make the pilgrimage (also called the Hajj) to the holiest city of Islam. The city of Mecca is sacred to Muslims as it is the birthplace of the prophet Muhummad and many attempt to complete this pilgrimage at least once in their life.
